Is GrowTrack Free? Pricing, Trial, and What Each Plan Includes

GrowTrack offers a 14-day free trial of the full Premium version. No credit card is required to start. The trial is not a stripped-down version with key features hidden behind a paywall; it is the complete system, with full access to every feature, including Rowan, voice interaction, health scoring, bed management, and yield tracking.

After the trial, GrowTrack moves to a paid plan. Here is a full breakdown of how the pricing works and what each plan includes.

The 14-Day Free Trial

The trial gives you full Premium access for 14 days from the moment you sign up. You do not need a credit card to start, and you will not be charged automatically at the end of the trial period.

The trial includes:

  • Full access to Rowan by voice and text
  • Unlimited bed, tunnel, and container records
  • Health scoring across all growing spaces
  • Planting and harvest tracking
  • Pest and disease logging
  • Dynamic task reminders based on your actual plantings
  • A full 14-day onboarding email sequence walking you through every core feature
  • Access to the full video support library so you get the most from the system before your trial ends

The onboarding process is included deliberately. GrowTrack is a system that rewards the grower who uses it properly, and the goal of the trial is to make sure you understand what it can do for your garden before you decide whether to continue.

You can start your free trial at usegrowtrack.com.

GrowTrack Plans After the Trial

GrowTrack has three paid plans. Each one is designed for a different level of use.

Basic Plan

The Basic plan covers the core tracking functions. You can log beds, record plantings, track harvests, and set reminders based on your actual growing dates. It is the right plan for growers who want to build a proper garden record without the AI layer.

Plus Plan

The Plus plan adds Rowan by text. You can message Rowan at any time and receive answers based on your garden’s records — your beds, your soil notes, your planting history, your pest logs. This is the plan most growers move to after the trial because the difference between generic advice and advice built around your specific garden is immediately obvious.

Premium Plan

The Premium plan is the full system. In addition to everything in Plus, you get Rowan by voice. You can speak to Rowan directly from your garden, hands-free, while you are working. Describe what you are looking at, ask your question, and Rowan responds. This is the plan that the 14-day trial gives you full access to.

Current pricing for all three plans is listed at usegrowtrack.com. Pricing may be updated from time to time, so the site is always the most accurate source.

What Makes GrowTrack Different From Free Garden Apps

There are free garden planning apps available. Most of them give you a calendar, a planting guide, and a reminder system based on generic dates for your region. They do not know your beds. They do not know your soil. They do not know what happened in your garden last season or the season before. Every time you open them, they start from zero.

GrowTrack is built on a different model. The value comes from what the system learns about your garden over time. After one season, you have a record. After two seasons, you have patterns. After three seasons, you have something no free app, no book, and no YouTube video can give you: a documented history of your specific garden, in your specific conditions, with your specific results.

Rowan uses that history every time you ask a question. If you ask why your broad beans are struggling in Bed 2, Rowan does not reach for a generic answer. It reads what you logged in Bed 2 — the previous crop, the soil pH, the weather notes, the pest history — and responds to your situation specifically.

That is what the paid plans are buying. Not just access to a calendar. Access to a system that gets more useful the longer you use it.

Is GrowTrack Worth It?

The honest answer is: try the 14-day trial and decide for yourself. The trial is the full system. No features are locked. The onboarding emails and video library are included. By day 7, most growers have a clear sense of whether GrowTrack fits the way they grow.

The growers who get the most from GrowTrack are the ones who have been growing for a few seasons and are tired of starting from scratch every year, or who have had recurring problems — the same pest in the same bed, the same crop failing in the same conditions — and want a system that holds that history so they can stop repeating the same mistakes.

If that sounds like your situation, the free trial is the right place to start.

Who Built GrowTrack

Tony O’Neill is pulling carrots at his South Wales allotment. A raised timber bed filled with Nantes-type carrots freshly lifted from the soil — the kind of yield that comes from tracking bed history, soil conditions, and sowing dates across seasons. This is exactly the problem GrowTrack was built to solve.

GrowTrack was built by Tony O’Neill, a UK vegetable growing expert with over 40 years of growing experience, 19 published books, and the founder of Simplify Gardening. The full story of why GrowTrack was built is in the post Why I Built GrowTrack.
